District development
On approx. 124.000 m² of the former Bahnausbesserungswerk 4 in Munich’s city district Berg am Laim high quality residential buildings with additional commercial use will be realized. The Baumkirchen Mitte quarter will be characterized by unmistakable, organic-looking buildings and a high proportion of green space. Only a good 50% of the total area will be developed; the remaining 50% area will be kept as a natural reserve and will be designed as a landscape park. This natural reserve, which will be established on specially fitted platforms, will be an urban nature experience for the residents of the quarter and the surrounding neighbourhood that is unique in Munich.
